"Files" is now "Shared" in Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams has updated its interface: the Files tab has been replaced by a new Shared tab. All your previously accessible files are still available—just in a new location.

This change only affects the tab name. No files have been removed or lost.

Prerequisites

• You have access to Microsoft Teams.
• You are signed in with your KPSOM account.

Steps to Access Files

1. Open Microsoft Teams.
2. Navigate to the channel or chat where you want to view files.
3. Click on the new Shared tab at the top of the window.
   
4. Browse or search for the files you need—everything that was under Files is now here.

Troubleshooting

• If you do not see the Shared tab, make sure your Teams app is updated to the latest version.
• Restart Teams if the tab does not appear after updating.
